Rent the New Cirrus SR G7+ Today!
One of the first Cirrus SR G7+ airplanes available - at our KBED location!
We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of the new Cirrus SR G7+ at Mike Goulian Aviation! Based at KBED, the new G7+ series introduces the world’s first FAA-approved autonomous emergency landing system in a single-engine piston aircraft. Garmin’s Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland technology provides the pilot with an automated landing option in the event of an emergency. Safe Return first debuted in the Cirrus Vision Jet, and has now been adapted for the SR piston aircraft.
If you and your passengers want the added piece of mind that Safe Return provides, you can rent the G7+ SR20 at our KBED location after completing a short check-out with one of our instructors. The check-out process is easy: First, complete the required Cirrus Approach course, then schedule a lesson with one of our instructors and we’ll get you signed off in no time. Pilots who are already flying G7 series SRs will only need a short ground lesson. Pilots or student pilots who currently fly our G6 aircraft can complete the G7+ check-out within a few days.
The transition training will focus on getting you comfortable using the dual Garmin touchscreen controllers that replace the keypad on the G6 and prior generation Cirrus SR series. All of our pilots who have completed their transition to the G7 are enjoying the new features. Regarding the benefits of the G7, one of our pilots reports that:

Watch The New Cirrus G7+ SR Autoland Demonstration
Join Executive Director of the SR Series Product Line, Ivy McIver, for a real-time demonstration of the SR Series G7+ Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland.
The new Cirrus SR Series G7+ launched in May, and in case you missed the news, the G7+ uses a combination of advanced sensors, sophisticated algorithms and automated flight control systems to enable the aircraft to autonomously land safely without pilot input. With just a single touch of a button, Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland takes control of the aircraft, communicates with air traffic control, navigates to the nearest suitable airport, executes a landing while avoiding terrain and weather, automatically brakes the airplane to a complete stop on the centerline of the runway and shuts down the engine.
In addition to Safe Return, the G7+ update to the SR series introduces additional new features:
- Runway Occupancy Awareness – Monitors nearby traffic and warns of potential runway conflicts.
- Smart Pitot Heat – Eliminates the pitot heat switch and performs a self-test before every flight and automatically turns on or off in-flight based on outside air temperatures.
- Automatic Database Updates – Powered by the newly updated Cirrus IQ PRO™ app, which will download avionics databases even when the aircraft is powered off.

Pro-Tip: Piloting By Your Personal Minimums
Years of aviators that came before us continued to innovate, create, and reach higher in pursuit of safer flying. They had both great success, and great failure. Often those failures had contributing circumstances like mechanical issues, severe weather, or from inadequate risk management. Today we have readily available tools that help us manage our risk.
While federal aviation regulations provide the legal framework for flight, they don’t offer explicit instructions for everyday aeronautical decision-making; that’s where personal minimums come in. Personal Minimums are your decision-making tool to set objective limits on when to fly, and, importantly, when not to fly, based on your capabilities.
Learn the four key areas of personal minimums by reading the full Pro-Tip here.

Meet the New AURA AERO Integral R Aerobatics Trainer!
In cased you missed it, Mike Goulian Aviation founder, and professional aerobatic pilot, Michael Goulian, took part in the launch of AURA AERO’s new aerobatic training airplane, the Integral R, back at the Sun ‘N Fun Aeroexpo in April of 2025. Check out the video above to learn more.
AURA AERO, a French aerospace manufacturer, is at the forefront of developing next-generation two-seat aerobatic training aircraft and other innovative models. With a team of over 250 employees in Toulouse, France, the company is deeply committed to advancing sustainable aviation. Over the past year, MGAV has collaborated closely with AURA AERO’s engineers on the development of the new Integral R tailwheel aircraft.
The Integral R has been certified in Europe, and we are awaiting certification by the FAA in the USA. Once the airplane has passed FAA certification, Mike Goulian Aviation pilots will be able to learn to fly this exciting new aerobatic trainer. We look forward to offering this airplane to you exclusively through our flight school as it will be the first Integral R offered for training in the USA. Powered by a Lycoming engine, Hartzell propeller, and a Garmin G3X avionics panel in the cockpit, you will enjoy an incredibly safe and reliable aircraft. The full-airframe parachute will offer added safety. Great visibility from the bubble canopy and side-by-side seating make the Integral R the ideal aerobatic training airplane, and Michael reports that it is a joy to fly.

Welcome Andy Esborn, Maintenance Service Advisor
Meet Andy Esborn, our new maintenance service advisor at Mike Goulian Aviation, based at our Plymouth (KPYM) service location. Andy’s role is to schedule and coordinate airplane service, helping get your airplane back in the air as soon as possible.
From a young age, Andy would assist his parents and grandparents with any projects they were working on. Andy’s uncle was a member of a flying club and a volunteer at the National Warplane Museum at KELM. Andy’s interest in aviation was fueled by helping his uncle work on his airplane, as well as restoration projects at the museum.
A lifelong Cape Cod resident, Andy prides himself in being a townie. Andy is a multitalented individual with a broad array of interests and hobbies including; music, cooking, and woodworking. In the summer, if he is not at a concert, Andy can be found on Sandy Neck beach grilling food for friends and playing fetch with his dog.
Andy started his career in hardware stores where his interest in tinkering and problem solving helped him become a store manager. Next he worked in a machine shop that produced custom parts and while there, he developed an inventory numbering system. That experience inspired a new interest in organizational systems and shop management, which he is eager to implement in his new role with Mike Goulian Aviation as the Maintenance Service Advisor.
