02 / IN-FOCUS Meet Upset Recovery Instructor, Stephen Fiegel
Stephen’s fascination with flying began at a young age. He has been flying since 2006 and has been specializing in aerobatic and warbird instruction for more than a decade.
Stephen has accumulated a variety of aviation experience including gliders, helicopters, banner towing, warbirds, and aerobatic competitions. He has extensive experience instructing in Extras, T6/SNJs, GB1s and Decathlons. Stephen also earned the Master CFI-Aerobatic designation. The Master CFI designation is a national accreditation recognized by the FAA. Designees are recognized as outstanding aviation educators for their excellence in teaching, area of expertise, and for their engagement in the continuous process of learning — both their own, and their clients’.
Since 2015, Stephen has been involved in the airshow industry as a media/ferry pilot, narrator and team coordinator for some of the top names in the airshow industry including Rob Holland, Mike Goulian, and Sean Tucker.
