The MGAV “Last Chance Flow”
At MGAV, you all know that we focus on safety. That means, in addition to accomplishing our checklists before take off and after through a flow, we also incorporate a last chance flow to ensure we’ve completed all required items. The attached video provides us all with a good reminder of how to accomplish our last chance flow. Especially important is the use of the pitot heat. As a reminder, the pitot heat can only be turned on for ground operations for 45 seconds. In the past several months we have had 5 instances of the pitot heating element being burned out. This causes us to have to replace the entire pitot tube at over $2,000 each. We have asked our instructors and are now asking you to ensure that pitot heat usage is an emphasis item ensuring that we do not leave the pitot heat on during ground operations.
We are so very fortunate to have each of you as our owners and clients and look forward to continued safe operations.
Thank you so much for supporting us and our instructors.
Please feel free to reach out to our team anytime you may have a question.
We wish you all the best for a wonderful Spring.
Warm Regards,
Michael & Karin Goulian
