We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and meticulous person who has airframe and powerplant certification with experience in Cirrus aircraft. This person will work closely with our Director of Maintenance for both our sports flying and general aviation teams in Plymouth and Bedford, MA. The position is full-time and may require some travel to events in the USA and between our two MA locations. Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Director of Maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician
- Upholds the Goulian Aerosports and Mike Goulian Aviation company values
- Represent the Goulian brand in the Cirrus, general aviation and airshow community
- Promotes and supports the company in a safe and team-building work environment
- Operates in accordance with all applicable Goulian Aerosports and Mike Goulian Aviation policies and procedures
- Attends company meetings as directed by the Director of Maintenance
- Attends all appropriate customer meetings as directed by the Director or Maintenance
- Displays a high level of fiscal responsibility by considering the financial impact and costs associated with flight operations
- Coaches and mentors pilots as required regarding aviation and maintenance on the aircraft
- Openly communicates appropriate company information to the customer and maintains a healthy and effective customer relationship
- May also fulfill other roles as necessary within the company as directed by the Director of Maintenance or his designee, such as service ground equipment or cleaning aircraft
- Able to acquire and maintain a TSA or Airport-issued Air Operations Area (AOA) or Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) security badge
- Knows and follows maintenance procedures found in instructional manuals, FAA regulations and ATA code
- Performs maintenance and repair procedures on airframe, propeller, engine and component systems
- Completes aircraft avionic, structural, electrical, fuel and instrument system checkups, trouble shooting, repairs and updates
- Troubleshoots all aircraft systems by using technical and maintenance manuals
- Completes FAA required log book entries and any other forms and reports
- Orders parts using manufacturer parts manuals
- Interacts with FAA personnel during inspections and investigations
- Accesses and implements computer-based maintenance manual systems and aircraft tracking programs

- May be required to work shifts, holidays and long hours inside or outside hangars in all weather conditions
Skills Required:
- Ability to adapt and acquire new skills rapidly
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to translate, articulate, simplify and communicate complex aviation theoretical and technical information to audiences of different levels of expertise
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with other managers both laterally and vertically
- Exhibits excellent customer service skills and displays a strong level of confidence in a group environment
- Displays strong team building skills in planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling team members of the base
- Must be able to work well with a team
- Good organizational skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications Outlook, Excel, and Word
- FAA issued Airframe and power plant certificate
- Inspection Authorization strongly encouraged
- Private Pilot License is desired
- Owns basic hand tools for aircraft maintenance
Physical Demands:
- Be able to lift 75 lb. baggage
- Have normal range of motion and dexterity
- Be able to perform any normal, abnormal or emergency duties
- Occasionally exposed to air borne pathogens, toxic or caustic chemicals
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, power lifts, aircraft towing equipment and any other tools and fixtures normally used to maintain aircraft in a full-service shop
